I've heard about so many people with friends and relatives who have contracted the H1N1 virus or Swine flu. For some the experience was rough, while for others it was a sorrow-filled event, to say the least. While I don't want to scare you (any more than you already are), I do want you to be informed and proactive. In other words, do everything you can to keep your loved ones healthy and safe.

Please read what the Center For Disease Control has to say on the topic of Swine Flu and take any precautions you feel necessary. A few common sense things they suggest are:

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water, an alcohol-based hand rub, or antibacterial hand wipes.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

These suggestions are good for many illnesses and types of flu. Some people who are at risk for the flu (any kind) may need to take additional precautions, which could include a face mask. You can assemble the wipes and other items mentioned in the CDC article or you can take a look at this *free flu pack offer (*plus shipping) to see if it's right for you.
